Wilson Carter, Director

Wilson was born and raised in the Blackfoot area to a hard-working ranching family. He grew up ranching, farming, and riding horses, which continue to be some of his favorite pass times. Wilson has many ties to the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and the Lillian Vallely School. In 2004 he completed his Eagle Scout Project by planting grass in the playground area of the Lillian Vallely School. Wilson graduated from Blackfoot High School in 2009 and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Argentina from 2009-2011. He then attended Brigham Young University-Idaho and majored in Agronomy with an emphasis in Ag-business. Not long after beginning his college career, he met his wife, Tierra, and they now have 3 rambunctious kids and a fourth on the way. Family has always been very important to him. After graduating, they moved to Florida, and later Texas, where Wilson worked as a Unit Manager for AgReserves Inc. Responsibilities on the large cattle operations included managing thousands of cattle and caring for the hundreds of acres they grazed. Wilson then returned to school in 2020 and received his Masters of Agribusiness from Texas A&M University. He now works as a Loan Officer for the Bank of Commerce specializing in Ag and Commercial Lending.
